The main news this last month or so is I’ve been to the Isle Of White – and very nice it was too.
We stayed in an apartment in Shanklin and managed to get in a fair few activities and trips, despite the rainy days we had.
First, there were a few visits to Shanklin beach and the Esplanade, where I drove a wagon and horses and got buried in the sand with daddy amongst other general beach stuff.
At Seaview Wildlife Park I fed the penguins and wallabies.
At Robin Hill Country Park I had a ride on a train and rode a toboggan with daddy.
At Black Gang Chine I loved the funny mirrors and the play areas, but some of the ‘attractions’ were a little bit to scary for me (who knew dinosaurs could talk?).
And at the Isle Of White Zoo I saw tigers and lions and spider monkeys being fed (sorry, no pictures yet!).
When not ‘touristing’ around the island we made the most of self catering and went out to eat 😉 Our favourite was Mama Mia’s in Shanklin – so good we booked for Saturday night on the way out on Thursday. I even debuted The Lion Song for the first time in public. Watch this space, I’m going to be an ad-libbing rock star.
